There are number of steps you have to complete in your bathroom renovation project:

Could take up to 2 days depending on the flooring type; Plain vinyl floor could go down in a morning; tile, engineered wood, and similar floors will take longer - Bathroom Renovation Step 9 - Fixtures:
Takes about a day to install toilet, sink, shower etc.
Bathroom Renovation - Bathtub Makeover
There are number of options for a bathtub makeover in your bathroom renovation project:
- Bathtub Replacement: demolition of your existing tub and replacing could cost $1,000 or more.
- Bathtub Refinishing: fiberglass, porcelain , cast-iron tubs can be refinished (better to get a professional to do a decent bathtub refinishing job).
- Bathtub Liners: cheaper than full replacement, at prices equal to or greater than refinishing (you never worry about the finish wearing away)
- Bathtub DIY Refinishing: not recommended for DIY project (very hard to achieve a smooth finish, it can start to peel).

There are number of things to consider which can help you to save money in your bathroom renovation project :
- Changing size of your bathroom.
Recommendation: Do not resize your bathroom unless it's absolutely necessary to accommodate your needs - Moving or removing weight-bearing walls
Recommendation: Find possibilities of expanding through other walls that do not bear weight - Full replacement of water-damaged plaster walls
